What is a rubbish chute?

Often used as part of high-rise projects, rubbish or rubble chutes allow contractor teams to safely dispose of unwanted materials, even if they are many storeys high.

Using gravity, teams tip rubbish into the top or side hoppers and the goods travel down inside the modular tube to a pre-determined end point, which is often above a skip.

Manufactured from sturdy blow-moulded HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), scaffold rubbish chutes offer excellent impact and abrasion resistance as well as recommended service loads of 600kg – making it suitable for disposing of almost anything you might find on site.

• Rubble chute accessories – support frames and fixing brackets keep your chutes securely anchored and positioned, for a flexible solution that can handle the demands of any project.
• Side hoppers – for lateral loading, such as that from a window, choose side hoppers.
• Standard chute sections – with heavy-duty chain-lock brackets and permanently attached chains, these durable HDPE tubes can be used with others to create a bespoke length.
• Top hoppers – to dispose of rubbish from above, choose top hoppers.
