Frequently Asked Questions?
Is it cheaper to buy or hire temporary fencing panels?
While we would like to give a general answer for the cost of hiring or buying, it really does depend on what temporary site fencing you need and for how long.
If you need and use temp fencing panels consistently, it can be more cost effective to buy new panels when they come to the end of their life – because you know they will be used time after time.
However, this then means you have to store them and keep them maintained so they last as long as possible.
Renting temporary fencing panels instead can mean you spend less on storage and maintenance, but you may pay slightly more in the convenience cost – plus you will need to sort delivery and returns, and extend the leases if you need to keep them for longer.
To find out if buying or hiring temp fence panels is right for you and your project particulars, call us today on 01226 654 040 and our experienced team can advise and offer you bespoke quotes for each.
Are temporary fencing panels or sets better?
Generally speaking, what is best depends on what you need.
If you need to replace temporary fence panels only but the accessories used with each are still functional, then buying only panels is right for you.
However, if you are looking to buy temp fence stock for the first time, a set can be much easier as it contains everything you need – a fence panel, x2 fence feet, and x2 fencing couplers. This means you can just order the right number for your needs and get everything in one go.
To see what works best for you, write a list of each component type and the number required for each – you may find that mixing between sets and individual panels is best.
For more information, fill in the contact form at the bottom of your screen and a team member will get back to you as soon as possible.
Can temporary fencing panels be stored outside?
As it is made from galvanised steel, temporary fencing panels are designed to be weatherproof.
However, to help them last as long as possible and minimise accidental damage, we recommend keeping the temporary fencing panels and the relevant accessories under cover and protected from the elements.
Failure to do so can result in damage and may mean you need to replace them far sooner than you anticipated – leaving you out of pocket.
To order today, browse our selection of temporary fencing panels and sets and add them to your secure online basket or call the team on 01226 654 040 for any assistance – we’d be delighted to help.
Does the type of temporary fencing panel matter?
For the most part, temporary fencing panels are around 2m high by 3.5m wide, come in round or square top, and are covered in a wire mesh structure.
However, depending on the brand chosen, there can be small differences, including:
- Custom or specific sizing, including extra tall or wide panels
- Anti-climb mesh
- Additional vertical centre tubes for increased strength and stability
As such, when you are shopping for temporary fencing panels, it’s important to check the individual product specifications to be sure about what you are getting.
If you are unsure about which is right for you and need personalised recommendations, fill in the form at the bottom of your screen or call us on 01226 654 040 and we’ll be in touch!
