Fixed legs allow the gate to be freestanding, without the need for extra accessories like fence feet, while loose legs use fence feet or metal feet to keep them upright and provide extra stability.
If you are using fence feet, be sure to secure the fencing by adding standard or anti-tamper temporary fencing couplers – which hold neighbouring panels together.
