Installations Operative

Producing over 1.6 million units annually, we are at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, serving a wide range of industries, from construction to security.

We are currently seeking a full-time Installer to join our team. In this physically demanding role, you’ll work outdoors across the North West region (with occasional travel throughout the UK and Ireland). As an Installer, you’ll ensure that installation projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, working closely with the Project Manager and interacting professionally with customers and contractors.

What You’ll Do:

Installation and Project Execution

• Complete installations, dismantles, and any remedial work as needed, meeting or exceeding set targets.
• Carry out general installation duties, ensuring each project is executed to company standards.

Customer and Contractor Interaction

• Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with customers, contractors, and other personnel on-site.
• Represent Blok ‘N’ Mesh positively, upholding the company’s values in every interaction.

Site Inspections and Safety Compliance

• Perform site surveys and inspections, ensuring all specific site safety rules are strictly followed as outlined in site inductions.
• Act as a first aider, fire marshal, or health and safety representative when trained and appointed.

Equipment Management and Operation

• Operate plant/machinery, forklifts, or lorry loaders if trained, certified, and authorized to do so.
• Ensure that all equipment is present, in working order, and fit for purpose before use; report and quarantine any defective machinery or equipment as required.

Adherence to Company Policies and Legislation

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Ensure all team members on-site adhere to the company’s safety protocols and procedures.

Job Details:

• Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (Overtime is essential)
• Salary: £12.60 per hour
• Job Title: Installs Operative
• Operating Area: Primarily North West England, with some travel across the UK and Ireland (overnight stays required; all costs covered by the company)

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid CSCS Card
• Full UK Driving License
• Willingness to work overtime and undertake overnight stays as required
• Based in Southport or within a 15-20 minute commute
